Lt. Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) leads a group of Jewish-American soldiers - the Inglourious Basterds of the title - on a mission to exact revenge on and spread fear among Nazi soldiers. Meanwhile, a Jewish girl, whose family was exterminated, flees to Paris and begins working at a movie theatre where a German war hero turned movie actor is expected to premiere his latest propaganda film. The Basterds and the young girl soon cross paths and a plan is hatched to unleash bloody retribution.
